Overview

The Inventory Control Associate supports Langham’s operational goals of accuracy, quality, and customer service by maintaining precise inventory records, executing cycle counts, managing inventory movement, and working closely with warehouse operations teams. The role is embedded in a fast-paced warehouse environment, often supporting inbound, production, and outbound activities.

Key Responsibilities

Operate equipment and follow safety protocols to support inventory operations.
Use the warehouse management system (WMS) and count modules (such as SAP programs) to manage total inventory, perform regular physical cycle counts, identify variances, and correct inventory errors.
Receive inbound raw materials or product, inspect for quantity, damage or discrepancies, and put goods away into rack/bin locations in accordance with correct location coding.
Move parts or product from production to the distribution center (as required) and ensure traceability of inventory movement.
Maintain accurate documentation of inventory transactions, adjustments, damage complaints, and investigation of discrepancies.
Maintain a clean and organized work area; adhere to warehouse safety and security guidelines (including those for hazardous materials if present).
Collaborate with operations, quality, shipping/receiving and inventory teams to resolve issues and support process improvement.

Qualifications / Requirements

Previous experience (1-3 years) in inventory control, warehouse operations or similar environment (preferably using WMS/SAP). Glassdoor
Forklift certification / ability to become certified (may include sit-down, stand-up, order picker) and able to lift up to 50-75 lbs in warehouse environment.
Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, ability to prioritize and organize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable working on concrete warehouse floors, tolerate ambient or cold/controlled temperature warehouse environments.
Basic computer skills and aptitude to learn WMS/SAP modules. Ability to understand specifications, bin numbers and inventory flow.

Success Metrics

Achieving targeted inventory accuracy and minimal variances.
Timely completion of cycle counts and inventory reconciliations.
Accurate receiving and put-away of inbound goods.
Effective cross-function collaboration to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.

Physical & Environmental Demands

Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting up to 50-75 lbs.
Work is performed in a warehouse setting with varying temperature conditions (ambient to cold). Glassdoor
Use of material handling equipment (forklifts, RF scanners, etc.), rugged work shoes, and possibly personal protective equipment as required.
