PROMAN Staffing is now accepting resumes for a Lab Technician position with one of the most reputable packaging manufacturers in Owensboro, KY.
We’re seeking a team-oriented, dependable, and adaptable individual with strong attention to detail.
**This is a short-term 6 month position**
Must have a clean background and be able to pass a drug screen
Mustache only allowed, no other facial hair allowed.
Shift & Hours:
- 2nd Shift | 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- 12 Hour Shift
- 4 nights on/4 nights off | this will effect weekend.
Job Duties:
- Follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements
Follow practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, and meet the company quality standards - Follow and commit to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Utilize knowledge of processes, equipment, materials, and products to conduct routine quality inspections of semi-finished, finished, and/or printed product to ensure all products meet established specifications
- Compare the physical characteristics of components, materials, equipment, and products to technical specifications to identify defects
- Conduct tests, record results, prepare reports and communicate changes that should be made to improve quality
- Recognize trends, analyze data, perform root cause analysis and statistical process control (SPC), and recommend solutions to quality issues
- Assist in third party audits
- Collect and ship product samples to Corporate Quality as needed
- Assist in implementing corrective actions
- Create, maintain, and review quality documentation

Core Skills and Qualifications:
- One (1) year of experience inspecting and performing quality checks
- High school diploma and twelve (12) credit hours in quality technology or related concentration from an accredited school
- Excellent visual and color acuity
- Math skills to include simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Understanding of statistical process control, root cause analysis, repeat and reliability methodologies
- Ability to identify issues, compare and analyze data, and investigate discrepancies
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create basic reports, documents, presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
- Experience using ERP or Quality Management System, SAP
- Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues
Position Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving extended periods of standing, lifting, bending stooping, handling materials, repetitive motions.
- Must be able to work in a non-temperature controlled environment.
- Attention to detail and communication are a must.
- Comfortable working in varying temperature environments.
- May wear PPE (personal protective equipment) for long periods.
- Steel Toe Boots are required.
- Mustache only allowed, no other facial hair allowed.
- Must have a clean background.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen.
Work Environment:
- You will be working in a non-temperature-controlled facility at times. Temperatures may fluctuate depending on the weather and operational activities.
- Expect exposure to industrial conditions, such as noise, dust, and moving machinery.
- This is a very fast paced work environment.
