Overview
Laboratory Technicians analyze and evaluate product samples taken from the various plant facilities for quality control and quality assurance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required. 2 years’ experience as a Laboratory Technician is preferred.
- Good math skills, computer literate, and good communication skills are required.
- This position will require shift work, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
Essential Functions
- Picks up samples from production facilities and delivers them to the main laboratory for testing.
- Performs a variety of tests on samples taken from the various plant facilities to assure quality control and quality assurance.
- Communicate to production personnel or Laboratory Supervisor any issues with samples/analytical results so those issues can be rectified.
- Update the Laboratory Information Management System with test results.
- Performs weekly calibration checks on certain laboratory and process equipment.
- Assist Laboratory personnel in the maintenance and repair of certain laboratory instruments.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Employees are expected to perform other responsibilities as needed.
