Job Overview
This position is within a wholesale lighting warehouse that receives and ships light bulbs. The role involves essential warehouse operations in a competitive environment, focusing on performance and customer service. No decision-making authority is granted in this role.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Order Fulfillment: Pick orders, verify item accuracy and quantity, and stock shelves/inventory.
- Logistics: Load and unload trucks, and break-up pallets.
- Workplace Standards: Maintain hygiene and appearance, share job knowledge, and perform assigned duties.
Qualifications and Skills
Basic Qualifications
- Age 21+, high school diploma/equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving records (no more than 3 moving violations in 3 years, no DUI in 5 years).
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- English proficiency (speak, understand, read, write).
- Comfortable with heights.
Skills & Knowledge
- Ability to read instructions, road maps, and order picking tickets.
- Basic math skills and effective listening/communication skills.
- Must pass required forklift/order picker training and operate equipment.
Key Performance Indicators
Metrics include attendance, quality (minimizing damage/loss), accuracy (correct orders), efficiency (timeliness of deliveries), customer feedback, and following instructions.
