PROMAN Staffing is partnering with a world-leading provider of engineering solutions, specializing in factory relocation, machinery installation, and heavy industrial moving services. We are seeking an experienced Project Accountant to support financial operations across large, complex industrial engineering and installation projects.
Position Summary
The Project Accountant plays a key role in financial control, analysis, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with Project Managers, Commercial teams, and Operations, this role ensures accurate cost capture, strong financial governance, and timely revenue recognition.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project financial controls, including budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and overall financial governance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting—cost-to-complete, margin analysis, variances, and cash flow projections.
- Ensure accurate cost allocation for labor, materials, subcontractors, and overhead while maintaining precise financial records in ERP/project systems.
- Oversee billing and revenue processes, including invoicing, applications for payment, revenue recognition, receivables oversight, and resolving billing discrepancies.
- Partner with Project Managers and Commercial teams to support CVRs, evaluate change orders, conduct risk/opportunity analysis, and assist with client negotiations.
- Lead project financial close-out and ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 3–7+ years of experience in Project Accounting, Management Accounting, or Project Finance
- Experience in industrial services, engineering, construction, or manufacturing installations
- Strong knowledge of project cost control, forecasting, and lifecycle financial management
- Experience collaborating with Project Managers and commercial/operations teams
- Proficiency in ERP and project accounting systems
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (reporting, analysis, forecasting)
- Knowledge of contract-based accounting and revenue recognition principles
- Familiarity with CVR, cost-to-complete, and margin management
