Overview
We are looking for a reliable Doffer to support our production team by doffing, packaging, and loading materials according to customer specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and comfort working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Doff, package, and load materials per customer orders.
- Read and follow production schedules and pick lists.
- Perform visual inspections of fiber and finished rolls.
- Remove processed waste to designated areas.
- Maintain knowledge of tube cores, packaging materials, and stock locations.
- Learn basic mechanical and electrical components of wind‑up equipment.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Manufacturing or textile experience preferred.
- Knowledge of machine operation, LOTO, feeds, and speeds is a plus.
- Ability to read tape measures, perform basic math, and follow procedures.
- Able to write simple reports and communicate clearly with team members.
- Basic computer/data entry skills.
- Ability to pass 5-Panel Drug Test
Physical Requirements
- Regular standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and reaching.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Good close‑vision abilities for inspection tasks.
Work Environment
- Moderate noise levels; vibration and moving machinery.
- Team‑oriented environment requiring collaboration and positive communication.
- Not climate controlled. Exposure to heat/cold temperatures.
