Compensation: $70,000 Base Salary + 3% Commission

We partner with architects, contractors, metal fabricators, landscapers, and government agencies on projects ranging from railing infill systems and fall protection solutions to bridges and zoo enclosures.
As they continue to grow, They're seeking an experienced Outside Sales & Estimator based in New York to support customers and drive business development throughout the Northeast.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the President, this role combines outside sales, project estimating, and customer relationship management. You will serve as the primary point of contact for customers in New York while preparing estimates and supporting projects throughout the Northeast territory.
Success in this role requires strong construction industry knowledge, the ability to interpret drawings and specifications, and a passion for building customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow business throughout New York and the Northeast region.
- Prepare project estimates for customers in ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT, NY, NJ, and PA.
- Build relationships with architects, contractors, metal fabricators, and installers.
- Conduct prospecting through cold and warm outreach.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to recommend solutions.
- Provide pricing, technical support, and project guidance to customers.
- Attend trade shows, networking events, customer meetings, and jobsite visits.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Manage customer concerns professionally and help drive projects to completion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in outside sales, estimating, or business development within building materials, construction, metal fabrication, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, specifications, and installation practices.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and project documents.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, CRM, and ERP systems.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and customer-focused.
