SUMMARY:
Construct wire harnesses, cables, and related assemblies while following all safety, quality, and production guidelines.
REQUIREMENTS: MUST PASS A DRUG SCREEN AND HAVE A CLEAN BACKGROUND
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Fabricate wire harnesses and cables by cutting, sorting/inventory, color-coding, measuring, stripping, crimping, soldering, and routing various lengths, types, and gauges of wire, heat-shrink, and other related materials.
• Operate tools and equipment such as wire strippers, crimpers, solder iron, wire identification and cutting machines, heat guns, and other associated tools.
• Inspect and test wiring installations, assemblies, or circuits for resistance factors.
• Complete job process tracking associated with work assignment.
• Ensure all assemblies and detail parts are free of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and non-conformance issues.
• Inspect and ensure that materials, components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, tools and product configurations conform with engineering drawings, company quality policies, and applicable industry standards.
• Work with co-workers and management in problem solving, exploring, and implementing best practices in our operations.
• Maintain continuity, accuracy, and effectiveness among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs in job turnovers.
• Utilize computers or tablets to document actions and time by completing work order entries.
• Comply with lean manufacturing principles and work with leads and supervisors to explore and implement best practices in the manufacturing process.
COMPETENCIES/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to communicate at all levels and departments of the organization.
• Mathematical aptitude to perform shop math and basic understanding of drawings/schematics.
• High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of relevant work experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
• Ability to effectively present information to other employees of the organization.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
• Shoptech software
• MS Office

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be on their feet, walk, and lift up to 50lbs.; Reach with hands and arms; Talk or hear.
