Summary Description:
- Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the scheduled, unscheduled and preventative maintenance and repair of a wide variety of beverage manufacturing and packaging equipment requiring a strong mechanical skills base to include hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, conveyor systems and PLC usage. Completes all work allocated to a high standard having the ability to complete all maintenance tasks across the installed asset base. Regularly observes and discuss equipment performance and make recommendations for activities to improve this. Promotes and supports company quality & safety standards, focusing on continuous improvement.
Essential Job Functions:
- Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Responsible to adhere to food quality and food safety standards.
- Report problems to responsible managerial employees to initiate corrective actions.
- Ability to perform and complete repair maintenance, preventive maintenance, and line changeovers.
- Able to troubleshoot machinery for malfunctions (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, & pneumatic).
- Able to perform maintenance on all production supporting equipment.
- Use innovative thinking when troubleshooting equipment.
- Complete, document, and retrieve approvals on all assigned work orders.
- Communicate effectively all relevant maintenance and production related information.
- Assist in training other maintenance personnel.
- Communicate with production during downtime.
- Work collaboratively with all adjacent teams.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of GMPs.
- Understanding of Food Safety Requirements.
- Must be able to read, understand, and work with machinery blueprints and parts manuals.
- Work without supervision.
- Good decision making/problem solving skills.
- Must obtain and maintain forklift certification.

Education and Experience:
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years previous maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Work Schedule: Weekdays, weekends, afternoon, evening, and overnight may be required. Overtime scheduled as needed.
- Work Environment: Operating in a fast-paced production plant.
Travel Requirements:
- Minimal travel required as needed for training.
