Job Title: Mold Technician
Location: Arnold, MO
Pay: $18.00 – $34.00/hour (based on experience)
Schedule Options:
Sunday – Thursday | 11:45 PM – 8:00 AM
Monday – Friday | 3:45 PM – 12:00 AM
Subject to mandatory overtime based on production needs
Position Summary:
The Mold Technician supports production by ensuring injection molding processes run safely, efficiently, and within quality standards while minimizing scrap. This position plays a key role in troubleshooting, maintaining production flow, and supporting overall plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up, monitor, and adjust injection molding processes to maintain efficiency and product quality
• Troubleshoot molding issues and make necessary process corrections
• Monitor machines to ensure optimal performance and minimal scrap rates
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and production schedules
• Perform quality checks and ensure products meet specifications
• Assign and support production staff (material handlers, operators, floor personnel) as needed
• Communicate with team leaders, engineers, and other technicians regarding production, safety, and quality issues
• Complete required production reporting including downtime, production summaries, and shift documentation
• Maintain clean work areas and ensure all equipment is operating safely
• Assist with mold changes, cleaning of hoppers and preparation for upcoming jobs
• Injection molding experience is REQUIRED
• Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting ability
• Ability to manage multiple machines and priorities at once
• Ability to read blueprints and follow technical instructions
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical & Work Environment:
• Must be able to stand for the entire shift
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures (not climate controlled)
• Ability to work extended overtime with short notice
