Plastic Injection Mold Technician
Location: Park Hills, MO
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00/hr (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Monday - Thursday | 4:25 PM - 2:55 AM
PROMAN Staffing is hiring a Plastic Injection Mold Technician for a manufacturing facility in Park Hills, MO. This position is responsible for inspecting, preparing, maintaining, cleaning, disassembling, reassembling, and servicing plastic injection molds before and after production runs.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with plastics manufacturing experience who is mechanically inclined and looking to build a long-term career in injection molding and mold operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Read and follow production work orders, mold requirements, and production specifications
- Locate, identify, and verify molds, mold components, and accessories needed for production
- Inspect molds before and after production for wear, damage, contamination, or maintenance concerns
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble plastic injection molds
- Prepare molds for production and verify all components are properly installed and ready for use
- Identify damaged or worn mold components and report maintenance concerns
- Assist with mold preparation, machine setups, and production startups
- Maintain accurate documentation related to mold inspections and maintenance activities
- Organize and maintain molds, tooling, and work areas in a clean and safe condition
- Support production operations as needed
- Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and mold reliability
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous plastics manufacturing experience required
- Injection molding or mold maintenance experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to use hand tools and measuring equipment safely
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and production documentation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to work safely around production machinery and equipment
- Willingness to learn and grow within the mold department
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Ability to safely handle molds, tooling, and production equipment
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and moving machinery
