Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

PROMAN Staffing | Partnered with TE Connectivity 📍 Des Plaines, IL 💲 $20.90 per hour 🕒 Temporary Position

PROMAN Staffing is partnering with TE Connectivity, a global manufacturer of industrial and electrical components, to hire experienced Machine Operators for their production team.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with manufacturing and machine operating experience who are looking to join a reputable company in a clean, safety-focused environment.

Shift Information

2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Training Requirement: Candidates must be available to train on 1st Shift for several weeks before transitioning to 2nd Shift.

Position Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for producing quality products in a timely and efficient manner while meeting customer specifications and production standards.

Essential Responsibilities

Set up and operate various manufacturing machines and equipment as directed by the Cell Lead.
Assemble components and products according to specifications.
Read and interpret bills of materials (BOMs), blueprints, and production drawings.
Communicate with the Cell Lead regarding discrepancies in drawings, BOMs, or production processes.
Work closely with the Quality Department to perform inspections and ensure products meet customer and industry standards.
Operate air tools, power tools, and related manufacturing equipment.
Maintain production levels that meet or exceed established standards.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Keep workstations clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
At least 2 years of machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Basic math and problem-solving skills.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently.

Equipment Experience Preferred:

Air and power tools
Micrometers
Calipers
Rulers and tape measures
Gauges and precision measuring instruments

Physical Requirements

Continuous standing, reaching, and movement throughout the shift.
Frequent walking, bending, lifting, and carrying materials.
Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

Manufacturing/shop environment.
Exposure to normal production conditions including noise, dust, and odors.
