Forklift OperatorJob Summary
- Shift: Monday - Friday (Day Shift Hours)
- Pay Rate: $24 per hour
- Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
- Responsible for general warehouse operations including forklift duties, receiving, warehousing, packing, inventory movement, and shipping activities
- Supports inbound, outbound, packing, and other warehouse functions as assigned by leadership
- Ensures products are received, stored, and shipped accurately while meeting service and productivity goals
Forklift Operator Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to unload incoming materials from trailers
- Verify and receive materials into inventory accurately
- Move and stage materials throughout the warehouse using material handling equipment
- Load products into trailers and transport vehicles for distribution
- Utilize RF scanners and packing slips to accurately pick products and supplies
- Pack customer orders according to company standards
- Ensure all orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently
- Complete daily housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Cross-train and assist in multiple warehouse departments as needed
- Participate in warehouse projects and special assignments
- Support teammates to achieve daily operational objectives
- Assist with warehouse consolidation and space optimization efforts
- Follow all company safety procedures and operating standards
- Adhere to OSHA, DOT, EPA, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Forklift Operator Requirements
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred
- Prior forklift, reach truck, or order picker experience preferred
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing workloads
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, stand, and walk throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Experience with SAP, Infolog, or other Warehouse Management Systems is a plus
- Must be dependable and reliable
- Must have reliable transportation
