Remanufacturing Technician -

Summary

The Remanufacturing "Reman" Technician is responsible for rebuilding automotive transmissions by disassembling, inspecting, cleaning, identifying parts, and reassembling units according to company quality and production standards. The role requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment.

Monday- Thursday 7am- 6pm

$18/hour for first 90 days and then Flag Rate

Key Responsibilities:

Verify transmission identification and disassemble units.
Inspect components, determine reusability, and remove damaged parts.
Order replacement parts and rebuild transmissions to specifications.
Ensure completed transmissions meet quality and production requirements.
Monitor workflow and maintain productivity goals.
Communicate with inventory, supervisors, and technical teams regarding parts availability, production issues, and quality concerns.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

High school diploma or GED required.
1-2 years of automotive repair, manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or related experience preferred.
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
Strong attention to detail, communication skills, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
Reliable transportation required; valid driver's license preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Shop, warehouse, manufacturing, or remanufacturing environment.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
Exposure to varying temperatures and occasional outdoor work.
Must use required safety equipment and comply with safety regulations.

Employment Requirements:

Pass required background checks
Pass drug testing.
Maintain compliance with all job and safety requirements throughout employment.
