MIG and TIG Welder Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MIG and TIG Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components according to specifications. This role requires proficiency in various welding techniques and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. The successful applicant will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality production standards while maintaining safety protocols.

Duties

Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, ensuring strong, clean welds.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
Utilize power tools and equipment, including plasma cutters and press brake machines, for metal fabrication.
Conduct quality checks on welds using calipers and other measuring devices to ensure adherence to specifications.
Collaborate with team members to build components efficiently while meeting production deadlines.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards at all times.
Troubleshoot welding issues as they arise, making necessary adjustments to equipment or techniques.

Experience

Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding is required; familiarity with FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) is a plus.
Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and welding symbols.
Experience operating power tools and fabrication equipment such as plasma cutting machines and press brake machines.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
